NetPlus Alliance has partnered with DDS—the wholesale distribution industry’s leading product content solution provider—to obtain, manage and deliver comprehensive web-ready product content to power their e-commerce website.

 

As part of NetPlus Alliance’s aggressive e-commerce initiative to better serve customers and drive sales, they have enlisted DDS’ help in gathering the most complete and up-to-date information for your products to display on their website.

NetPlus is utilizing DDS’ Content-as-a-Service solution (CONTENT/io) to increase the speed and efficiency with which they receive data from their manufacturers and to improve the content experience for everyone—from you, as a supplier of that data, to their e-commerce/content team (as well as their sales staff) and ultimately your joint customers.

DDS will work directly with each supplier to obtain, manage and deliver product content to NetPlus in a consolidated and custom format for uploading to their site. As such, NetPlus would like each supplier to submit the CONTENT REQUEST FORM at right so DDS can contact you to get the process started.

How It Works

DDS sources product content directly from each NetPlus supplier and delivers it to NetPlus in a single, automated and scheduled (monthly) feed with custom formatting for accurate, efficient integration into their e-commerce system.

In addition to delivering the most robust e-commerce-ready product content available, DDS assists NetPlus with the management of that content for optimal usability, plus regular maintenance to ensure end-user customers can always rely on them for complete and updated product information.

There is no cost to NetPlus’s suppliers to deliver product content through DDS’ CONTENT/io service.

DDS can deliver your product content to any/all of your other distribution partners via our SYNDICATION/io offering—our full-channel Syndication-as-a-Service for manufacturers—at an additional cost. Please contact us if you would like to discuss syndicating your content to other partners in your channel.

 

DDS has worked closely with hundreds of manufacturers to ingest and deliver their data, and we have experience working with a wide variety of data formats. We can recommend some best practices and can provide templates as a starting point, but we can work with almost any format.

Our approach makes it easy for manufacturers to add their product content to our distributor customers’ feeds, including using an automated and scheduled import process so you can stay focused on your business.

At the top of this page you will find a Supplier Product Content Request form where you can enter your contact information so DDS can reach out to coordinate receipt of your data, and we’ll take it from there!

 

Unlike other providers, our systems were built specifically for e-commerce content. The way we ingest, store and deliver our content is very unique and doesn’t rely on industry-defined standards or committees.

We also know that each supplier is different, and we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. That’s why we employ a unique import for each manufacturer or product line, which allows all of your data to be ingested, without rigid specs or limitations that can lead to manipulated or “commoditized” data (as is common with other providers, resulting in the inability to differentiate your products from competitors’ on distributor sites). Our custom import process ensures your data is treated uniquely and delivered in full—and with intelligent, programmatic enhancements that make it ready for NetPlus’s unique e-commerce system, while retaining your messaging.

Data has truly become a critical commodity, and we believe the role of a valuable content provider is to help manufacturers syndicate it, and distributors manage it, so their end-user customers can continue to rely on them for complete, organized and up-to-date product information, while they stay focused on their respective core initiatives.

DDS’ in-house team is here to help ensure a successful project through implementation and beyond. Following is an outline of the onboarding process, which we have broken down into four distinct stages, with timeframes typical for each stage.

 

SETUP

During SETUP, we work closely with your team to identify requirements that will assist us in receiving your product content.

Timeline: 1-2 Weeks

 

VALIDATION

During VALIDATION, we review the initial delivery of your product content and make any necessary adjustments.

Timeline: 1 Week or less

 

DELIVERY

Once all quality control reviews are complete, DELIVERY of your product content will be automated and scheduled.

REPORTING

REPORTING is an ongoing part of the service and includes periodic updates regarding your product content.
